Independence Place consists of two hi-rise buildings that sit back from the street at the corner of South 6th and South Washington Square. One is struck by the size of the two towers and the large plaza that sits in front of them.    

Pros

  • It's hard to beat the location of this development right on Washington Square Park. The park with its paths, benches and greenery is a huge amenity in itself. You can walk to historic sites such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall and to parks and gardens such as The Magnolia Garden and The Three Bears Park. Arts venues including the Walnut Street Theater, The Landmark Ritz 5 and Bridget Mayer Gallery are within walking distance as well. We can't forget the many nearby restaurants such as Pizzeria Stella, Buca D'oro Ristorante, Fat Salmon Sushi and Cafe Walnut.
  • Windows in the building are floor to ceiling, providing lots of light and views of the city skyline and park or the waterfront. Many units also have terraces which extend the living space.
  • There is a 24 hr. concierge/doorman and parking is available in the underground garage for a fee
  • There is a large plaza in front of the entrance that is used by guests for 20 minute parking. This is unusual and convenient.
  • There are some units of 2000 square feet and above that command prices of $1,000,000 and above, but most units at Independence Place sell for well below that number, making a purchase here a good value. 
  • Close to numerous bus stops and the subway on Market St. as well as major roads such as Rtes. 676 and 95,
