Paoli Detail

Paoli is a Census Designated Place occupying approximately half of the 19301 area code. It grew around an Inn established by Joshua Evans beginning in 1769. The Inn, and thus the town, were named for Corsican Pasquale Paoli after a St. Patrick's Day celebration. The town portion of Paoli is above average in size as Main Line towns go, featuring a large shopping center, Paoli Shopping Center, in the middle of town and various other businesses along route 30. The center of town is where route 252 crosses route 30. This is a large intersection that actually borders neighboring Berwyn. Following route 252 North from the intersection brings one to another shopping area, Gateway Shopping Center. 252 also intersects route 202 which can be followed to King of Prussia.

Children living in Paoli can attend the public schools of the Tredyffrin-Easttown school district, ranked 6th out of 553 districts in the state, or the schools of Great Valley school district, ranked 10th, depending where they live.  Alternatively, they could attend one of many private schools in the area.
